Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Castro's Insurance services, including our website, mobile applications, and related platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Castro's Insurance.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services. Continued use of our platform following any modifications to these terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Your use of our services signifies your acknowledgment that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility Requirements

To obtain an insurance quoteA preliminary estimate of insurance premium or purchase a policy through Castro's Insurance, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Possess a valid driver's license issued by a U.S. state or territory
  • Have legal ownership or insurable interest in the vehicle to be insured
  • Provide accurate and complete information during the application process
  • Reside in a state where Castro's Insurance is licensed to operate

Castro's Insurance reserves the right to verify eligibility information and decline service to applicants who do not meet our underwriting standards.

Quote Accuracy

Insurance quotes provided through our platform are estimates based on the information you provide. These quotes are subject to verification and may change based on:

  • Verification of driving history and motor vehicle records
  • Credit-based insurance score evaluation (where permitted by law)
  • Vehicle identification number (VIN) verification
  • Discovery of material information not disclosed during the quote process
  • Changes in underwriting guidelines or rating factors

A quote does not constitute an offer of insurance coverage. Coverage is only effective when a policy is issued and premium payment is received.

Coverage Binding

Insurance coverage becomes binding when all of the following conditions are met:

  • You have completed the application process in full
  • Your application has been accepted by our underwriting team
  • Initial premium payment has been received and processed
  • A policy number and declaration page have been issued
  • The policy effective date and time have arrived

The effective dateThe date and time coverage begins of your policy will be clearly stated in your policy documents. No coverage is provided for incidents occurring before the effective date or after the policy expiration or termination date.

Payment Terms

Premium payments are due according to the schedule selected during policy purchase. Castro's Insurance offers the following payment options:

  • Full payment in advance for the entire policy term
  • Monthly installment payments with applicable installment fees
  • Quarterly or semi-annual payment plans where available

You authorize Castro's Insurance to charge your designated payment method on each scheduled payment date. Failure to maintain valid payment information may result in policy cancellation.

If payment is not received by the due date, your policy may be subject to a lapse in coverage or cancellation in accordance with applicable state regulations.

Returned or declined payments may incur additional fees as permitted by law. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available on each payment date.

Claims Procedures

In the event of an accident or loss, you must follow these procedures to file a claim:

  • Notify Castro's Insurance as soon as reasonably possible after the incident
  • Provide a complete and accurate description of the incident
  • Cooperate fully with our claims investigation process
  • Submit all requested documentation in a timely manner
  • Comply with all policy terms and conditions related to claims

Claims are subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations set forth in your policy. Castro's Insurance reserves the right to investigate all claims and determine coverage applicability.

Misrepresentation or fraud in connection with a claim may result in claim denial, policy cancellation, and potential legal action.

Cancellation Policy

Either party may cancel the insurance policy subject to the terms below and applicable state law:

Your Right to Cancel:

  • You may cancel your policy at any time by providing written notice
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through our designated channels
  • If you cancel within the first 10 days, you will receive a full refund of premium paid
  • Cancellations after 10 days will receive a pro-rata refund of unearned premium

Our Right to Cancel:

  • Non-payment of premium according to the payment schedule
  • Material misrepresentation or fraud on the application
  • Suspension or revocation of your driver's license
  • Discovery of information that would have resulted in application denial

All cancellations will be processed in accordance with state insurance regulations, which may require advance notice periods.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute or disagreement arising from these Terms & Conditions or your insurance policy, the following procedures apply:

Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact our customer service team to attempt to resolve the matter informally.

Arbitration: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.

  • Arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator
  • The arbitration will be held in the state where you reside
  • Each party will bear their own costs and fees
  • The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding

Class Action Waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of any class or representative action.

Nothing in this section limits your right to file a complaint with your state insurance department.

Liability Limitations

Castro's Insurance provides insurance coverage as specified in your policy documents. Our liability and obligations are limited as follows:

Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the coverage limits specified in your policy declarations.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Technical issues or website interruptions do not extend coverage periods
  • Information provided on our website is for general guidance only

These Terms & Conditions do not modify or limit the coverage provided under your insurance policy. Policy terms, conditions, and exclusions govern all coverage determinations.

Policy Amendments

Castro's Insurance reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. When changes are made:

  • Updated terms will be posted on our website with a new effective date
  • Material changes will be communicated via email or other notification methods
  • Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms
  • You may cancel your policy if you do not agree to the changes

Policy terms and premium rates may be adjusted at renewal based on:

  • Changes in risk factors or claims history
  • Updates to state regulations or insurance requirements
  • Modifications to coverage options or underwriting guidelines
  • General rate revisions approved by insurance regulators

You will receive notice of any changes at least 30 days before your policy renewal date, or as required by applicable state law.
